  • Method 3: Automated Status Rules

    Understanding Rule-Based Automation

Automated rules assign statuses based on:

    • Candidate scores (percentage achieved)

    • Mandatory requirement fulfillment (met or not met)

    • Combined criteria (score thresholds AND requirement status)

  • Creating Status Rules

    Accessing Rules Configuration

    1. Navigate to Rules: Click on "Rules" in your analysis dashboard

    2. Add New Rule: Click "Add Rule" to create a new automation

  • Rule Configuration Example 1: Review Status

    1. Set Conditions:

      • Requirement Status: "If mandatory requirements are NOT met"

      • Score Threshold: "AND score is greater than 50%"

    2. Define Action: "Then mark as NEEDING REVIEW"

    3. Purpose: Candidates who don't meet requirements but show potential

  • Rule Configuration Example 2: Rejection Status

    1. Set Conditions:

      • Requirement Status: "If mandatory requirements are NOT met"

      • Score Threshold: "AND score is equal to or lower than 49%"

    2. Define Action: "Then mark as REJECTED"

    3. Purpose: Candidates with low scores and unmet requirements

  • Managing Multiple Rules

    1. Create Additional Rules: Repeat the process to add more automation rules

    2. Rule Sequence: Rules are applied in the order they're created

    3. Complex Workflows: Combine different conditions for comprehensive automation

    4. Save and Execute: Click "Update" to activate all configured rules

  • Rule Execution Results

    1. Automatic Processing: System immediately applies rules to all applicable candidates

    2. Status Updates: Candidates meeting rule criteria receive corresponding status changes

    3. Real-Time Reflection: Dashboard updates instantly to show new statuses

    4. ATS Synchronisation: Changes propagate to connected ATS systems

  • Rule Configuration Examples

    Basic Score-Based Rules

    • High Performers: Score above 80% → Mark as "Shortlisted"

    • Moderate Performers: Score 50-79% → Mark as "Under Review"

    • Low Performers: Score below 50% → Mark as "Rejected"

  • Requirement-Based Rules

    • Requirements Met + High Score: Requirements met AND score >70% → "Interview Ready"

    • Requirements Met + Low Score: Requirements met AND score <70% → "Further Assessment"

    • Requirements Not Met: Requirements not met → "Rejected"

  • Complex Combined Rules

    • Conditional Review: Requirements not met AND score >60% → "Manual Review Required"

    • Automatic Progression: Requirements met AND score >85% → "Fast Track Interview"

  • Best Practices

    Manual Status Updates

    • Review candidate profiles before changing statuses individually

    • Use bulk updates for consistent actions across similar candidate groups

    • Verify ATS integration settings before confirming changes

  • Rule-Based Automation

    • Start with simple rules before creating complex conditions

    • Test rule logic on small candidate groups first

    • Monitor rule performance and adjust thresholds as needed

    • Document rule purposes for future reference

  • Status Management Strategy

    • Establish clear status definitions for your hiring process

    • Ensure status progression makes logical sense
